  • Johnny Appleseed U-Pick Orchards: 146 Crocks Point Road, Keswick Ridge

At Johnny Appleseed U-Pick Orchard you can take in a scenic view of the Mactaquac Dam while picking your favorite apples. Don’t forget to stop at the farmstand for their delicious jams, jellies, cider, and pumpkins.

Big Axe Brewery

Stop in at The Big Axe Brewery in the Town of Nackawic for a refreshing beer. The rustic taphouse will have you feeling warm and cozy while you take in the beautiful fall colours from their patio, overlooking the Saint John River. Need a ride home? The Big Axe offers shuttles back to Fredericton.

Crabbe Mountain: Festival of Colours

Although the snow doesn’t typically fall for another month, the Fall Festival of Colours at Crabbe Mountain is worth an early trip to the mountain on Thanksgiving weekend! Take a leisurely hike down the hill and catch a ride on the chair lift on your way up to take in Autumn’s best colours. Kings Landing is an impressive tourist attraction to visit any time of year, but especially during the fall months. The 19th century themed village is illuminated with vivid fall colours. Alternatively, Destination Nackawic offers some of the most popular hiking trails in the province. Coac Falls is beautifully forested trails, leading to a waterfall that is even more striking in the Fall. Likewise, the Shogomoc Suspension Bridge offers a stunning vantage point of the surrounding fall foliage.  Adventure through the trail systems in Mactaquac Park, Woolastook Park, and the Big Pokiok Nature Park for a more extensive hiking experience.
