Many terrains to choose from
Whether you are looking to ride in the forest, the top of a valley, or near the water, there are lots of trails to choose from.
Compared to Canada’s famously chilly winters, the warmer months provide a refreshingly different view and plenty of new possibilities for adventure. One of the best ways to explore the outdoors and find New Brunswick’s hidden gems is by ATV.

Be part of an active community of ATVers.
The active trail system is connected to the entire province of New Brunswick.
Local clubs maintain warming huts, lean-tos, and picnic tables along trails.
Whether the trails are wet or dry, ATVs can get you through the wilderness and into the peace and quiet of the trees. Destination Nackawic is at the heart of the local ATV scene, with trails leading all over New Brunswick. The trails connect many communities in the Nackawic region and across the province — from small villages to cities.
ATV trails in the region have a lot of crossover with the snowmobile trail system. Maps tailored to four-wheeling are in the works according to the New Brunswick All-Terrain Vehicle Federation (NBATVF). Since there is so much crossover, some ATVers refer to snowmobile trail maps (such as the interactive map provided by the New Brunswick Federation of Snowmobile Clubs).
Along with the trails, the ATV crowd also shares some warming huts with the snowmobilers, with a dedicated warming hut of their own cared for by the M&H Mudrunners. The hut is always stocked with wood and some basic kitchenware, so whether you are stopping off for a break or you’re stuck in the mud, you’ll be safe and comfortable here.
Other locations along the trail have lean-tos or picnic tables for anyone’s use. There are plenty of places to stop and have a cold drink—in or out of the sun or rain!
The NBATVF is a large, well-connected, volunteer-run organization that provides information and overhead support for local clubs. The main ATV club in the Destination Nackawic region is based in Millville, the M&H Mudrunners. This group has been growing for many years now, creating its own community within New Brunswick.
NBATVF team members are committed to keeping the trails clear of brush and making repairs, so the community can continue to explore. The club also works on behalf of the group to get a highway permit for all four-wheelers to have to access the Nackawic Irving for gas.
The M&H Mudrunners organize events a few times a year, often for charity or those in need. They also have a member’s rally, usually in the fall, which is a free BBQ for all members. It is a close-knit community with a giving spirit! You can go to their Facebook page for information about upcoming events.
The Nackawic Irving is the best spot for fuel in the region. The ATV trails also run by a variety of nearby restaurants. The Nackawic Golf Club, Saigon’s Garden, the Waterfront Pub & Eatery, and the Millville Legion are all accessible off the trail.
Destination Nackawic invites you to come to explore the great outdoors, one of the most rewarding parts about spending time in New Brunswick. ATVing is one of the best ways to experience our majestic wilderness and welcoming community.
Explore the beauty…out on the trail!
